Preschool

PRESCHOOL Birth-Pre K4 Michelle Bendig    Learning, Loving, and Living God's Word   Mission: To glorify God by partnering with parents to lay a solid biblical foundation for their children's faith in Jesus Christ    Safety & Security Our check-in security system allows you to register your child's attendance with us. Each child will receive a numbered security tag, parent/guardian will receive a corresponding numbered tag/card. Children will be released only to the adult with the corresponding tag/card. The assigned numbered tag/card will serve as a way to notify parents when children require your attention.  To avoid congestion in the hallway of the preschool department, it is requested that only one parent/guardian drop-off & pick-up child. Older siblings will not be allowed to drop-off or pick-up children. A current information sheet must be kept on file for each child.(Please see director to make any changes or update information.) Under no circumstances should a child be left unattended in the preschool department. Preschool facilities will open 15 minutes prior to church activities and services. All preschool rooms are staffed with volunteers who have undergone a background screening process to ensure the safety of your children. All parents are expected to participate by serving once a month during worship times.    Health/Wellness Policy     Fever: temperature of 99 degrees or higher Pink Eye and eye infections Vomiting and/or diarrhea Any symptom of childhood diseases such as chicken pox, strep throat, flu,  and croup Any unexplained rash or skin infections (ringworm, boils, 5th disease, etc) Lice Eye/Nose drainage(thick, green, or pus-like drainage from eye or nose)   Children who appear ill during a church activity will be isolated and you will be notified immediately.      Snacks – snacks are provided during worship service times. (usually goldfish & lemonade) Please notify preschool director if your child has any allergies. Bottles will only be given according to parent instructions. We are unable to feed baby food.      Bible Study   Sundays @ 9:15am      Hands-On Bible Curriculum (ages 2-4)     Toddlers & preschoolers will experience the bible through songs & hands-on learning activities which lay the foundation for growing faith in Jesus       Spiritual Strength Training      Sundays @ 10:30am     Care and teaching of preschoolers during worship services. The purpose is to reinforce the bible learning activities and allow children to interact with caregivers and their peers in a safe environment.         Clubhouse Puppet Theater      1st Sunday of the month @ 10:45am    Children experience bible-based character building through song and puppet theater.        Preschool Clubhouse     Wednesdays @ 6:30pm         Elevate Jr. (3's & 4's) is a creatively designed program that promotes an excitement for church and God through solid bible teaching, songs, bible skits, crafts, games and take-home family devotions.  Theme based units provide fresh opportunities for preschoolers to be fully engaged in learning and growing in Christ.         For more information contact Michelle Bendig at michelle@hbcjax.net
